Where to eat in Barcelona: Rice, meat and fish in Sant Gervasi
Mediterránea is at Carrer de Santaló, 8, inside the Hotel Zenit Barcelona, in the uptown part of the city. Dinner is à la carte: rice dishes to share, sirloin, fish of the day and vegetable dishes. You only book the table, and you don't need to be staying at the hotel.

The dining room is inside the hotel itself, on the first floor, with upholstered banquette corners and warm lighting in the evening. It's open to Hotel Zenit guests and to anyone coming from Galvany, Turó Park or the Diagonal. One guest who spent three nights at the hotel had lunch and dinner at the restaurant and singled out how attentive and friendly the waiters were. If you'd like to eat outside, ask about the terrace when you book.

A lighter dinner
Light dinner: Salmon, grilled vegetables and salads
If you fancy something light, the Lomo de Salmón is cooked on the plancha and served on a cream of asparagus. Without meat or fish, there are the Verduras a la brasa in Romesco sauce, the Paella de Verduras de temporada and the creamy Risotto de Setas. To start, the Tartar de tomate y aguacate or the Mix de verdes with goat's cheese are good for sharing, and the Crema del día (soup of the day) changes daily. If you have any allergies, tell the staff before you order.

Dinner for two
Huevos estrellados with slices of Ibérico to start, then the Solomillo ibérico confitado en Pedro Ximénez for one of you and the Lomo de Salmón for the other. If you fancy rice, one to share between you works better.
Dinner with friends
In the middle of the table, the Tabla de Jamón Ibérico with pan con tomate, the Calamares a la Andaluza and some Patatas Bravas; then one or two rice dishes for everyone. If there are a lot of you, call us on 932 411 800 before booking.
Family dinner
For children there's a kids' menu with Hamburguesa de Ternera and Escalopa de Pollo. Grown-ups tend to go for the Milanesa a la Napolitana with chips, and for pudding there's Coulant de chocolate or Copa de helado.
A drink with your meal
The bar serves house wine and cava by the glass, vermouth, gin and tonic and Aperol Spritz. If you'd like sangria, it comes by the litre to share at the table.

Questions to ask before booking dinner
Yes. The restaurant is inside the hotel, but it's open to everyone: you just book the table, no room needed. You can do it online on the booking page or by calling 932 411 800.
It's the best idea, especially if there are several of you or you want a particular table. Booking online is quick; if you have a special request, give us a call and we'll sort it out with you.
It depends on the day. Ask for it when you book and we'll confirm whether there's room outside for your table; if not, you'll have dinner in the indoor dining room.
The current opening hours are on the contact page, next to the map. If you're running late or want to check kitchen times for a particular day, call us on 932 411 800 and we'll let you know.
Mention it when you book and remind us when you order. The staff will explain what goes into each dish and whether it can be adapted, so ask before you choose, especially with sauces, battered dishes and shellfish.
