At Mediterránea, inside the Hotel Zenit Barcelona, you can celebrate a birthday from the à la carte menu with a standard booking or, for 10 or more, with a set menu and a private room. Boards in the middle of the table, rice dishes to share, a dessert for the candles and cava for a toast.

Ibérico ham, cheese boards and croquetas to share
At a birthday, the easiest thing is to order for the middle and let everyone help themselves. The Selección de Quesos Españoles comes with walnuts, honey and dried apricots, and it goes well alongside the Tabla de Jamón Ibérico with pan con tomate, the creamy Croquetas de Ibérico y Cocido and the Berenjenas rebozadas con miel de caña (fried aubergine with cane honey). Then one or two rice dishes for the table, such as the Paella Mediterránea or the Mar y Montaña, or a main each.

Chocolate coulant and desserts for the candles
The Coulant de chocolate comes out warm, with vanilla ice cream and syrup, and it shares well with a few spoons. There is also Copa de helado, seasonal fruit and a homemade Postre del día (dessert of the day). If you want to bring a cake or have dessert arrive at a particular moment, call us before the day and we will tell you what we can do.
Cava and desserts for the birthday
Our house cava by the glass is brut, and sangria is served by the litre for sharing. The Postre del día changes, so ask what it is when you sit down.

Tell us it's a birthday
If you book online, give us a ring afterwards on 932 411 800 and tell us whose birthday it is and when you would like dessert. That way the team knows from the moment you arrive and you don't have to sneak off to tell anyone.
Tables of 10 or more
For bigger celebrations we offer a set menu and there is a private room. Call us or email reservasbarcelona@zenithoteles.com before you fix the date and we will put the menu together with you.
If it's a child's birthday
The children's menu has a Hamburguesa de Ternera (beef burger) and an Escalopa de Pollo (chicken escalope), and the Copa de helado is an easy dessert for the little ones. The grown-ups can go for the rice dishes or the boards.
Guests with allergies
Ask your guests beforehand and let us know when you book. Without meat or fish there is the seasonal Paella de Verduras, the Verduras a la brasa en salsa Romesco (chargrilled vegetables) and the creamy Risotto de Setas.

No. A table of four or six can book online like any other and order from the menu. The set menu is for celebrations of 10 or more.
Ask when you call to book on 932 411 800. We will tell you if it is possible that day and how to arrange it; if not, the Coulant de chocolate or the Postre del día round off the celebration nicely.
